[Opinions] Martha
Martha. Can it make a comeback? Is the Martha Stewart connection just too strong?
I'm beginning to like it, it sounds refreshing compared to a lot of names out there right now (McMadisynne still haunts me).
So, wdyt? Any opinions are welcome.

I adore this name.
Not my style, but it's a good classic name and more interesting than Mary. She won't be one of 10 million Michelles
Love it. Very refreshing. A "still waters run deep" kind of name.
I like Martha, it's one of the old-fashioned ones like Abigail that I liked from when I was a child. (But has not been overdone like Abigail). It sounds American Revolutionary era-ish and I love history. I think more Martha Washington than Martha Stewart.
I hate the th sound - Marta ia nice!
I really like Martha, it's very sweet and girly, although it does still hold a 50s housewife kind of image. I'm not really sure who Martha Stewart is (I'm in the UK). That connection might still be strong in the US so it'll probably take a few more years before it makes a comeback.
I love Martha. It so sweet and unusual. However, I'm Scottish and Martha Stewart was never a big name here. Her trial received hardly any coverage because few people had heard of her. I'm sure it'd be a bigger association in the US, which is a shame.

Sorry, Martha = Martha Stewart.
Martha is such an... old name. It sounds very frontier to me, like an old house wife. And, yes, I think that at this moment in time the Martha Stewart connection IS too strong... maybe in a couple of years when she's not as famous (or infamous) anymore.
and lol to McMadisynne. That's horrible!
