I love Daniel! :D And by the way, it is my brothers name. :D

It's a family name that has fallen out of use, and if I'd had a second son to name I'd certainly have used it. Lovely as it is, and Dan is fine as a nn. Danny, not so much, but it's not inevitable.

Not dull, exactly. It's a nice name. But it's boring from overuse. I never would have considered it for that reason.

I've always thought this name sounded really unattractive. Something about it just rubs me the wrong way. But as a middle name I think it's not bad. There's nothing wrong with it. It's a good, classic name. I must just have some bad subconscious associations. It could just be that I don't like the nicknames Dan and Danny.

It's a handsome classic, and something about it has always sounded good natured and friendly to me. I hate Dan and Danny, though--so much that even the possiblity of them is enough to keep me from ever thinking seriously about Daniel. I have the same problem with David.

I like it. It's friendly and handsome.

I have always loved it. It was the first name I ever identified as a potential name for a child, and it's stuck with me ever since.

It's also my step-son's name, which certainly didn't harm my wife's chances with me when I first met her ;)

I like it because it's timeless, smart, respectable and sensible.

I like it. It's handsome and masculine and ages well. It doesn't seem trendy or dated or anything, it's just a nice classic name. It is popular, but I don't really find it boring.
