This is my favourite name and if I had a little girl I would definitely use it in combination with Sophia - I also love both the nicknames: Kim and Kimi, but if you don't like them then you shouldn't use them.
I prefer the spelling Kimberly though I don't know why. I met a little girl last year called Kimberly who went by her full name and I also know a teeanger named this who sometimes goes by Kim though often uses Kimberly.
