I actually don't mind it, but only for a girl.

I like it for a girl, but can't really picture it on a boy, which seems to be the opposite of what most people below think. It reminds me of Arwen and Anwen. Also the more I say it the more I'm thinking "garden without the G."

I kind of like it. I only like it for a boy. It sounds too rough for a girl.

It's okay for a boy but I don't love it. I don't really like how close it is to the word "ardent"

Arden reminds me of the Forest of Arden in Shakespeare. It was his mother's maiden name. It would make a nice boy's name, although I prefer Alden.

I like it. I like it most for a boy, but I think it's good on a girl too (although if I used it on my own kid, it would be on a boy).
It has a simple spelling and sound. The syllable pattern is popular but the name itself is pretty uncommon, so the name would be seen as unique but not weird.
It reminds me of trees even though the origin of the name just means "high" (probably because it's kind of similar to words like arbor and alder, and it's also similar to Alden which reminds me of alder, etc.)

I like it. It sounds handsome and gentlemanly.I don't mind it for a girl, but I think it's better as a masculine name.
