[Opinions] Bram
How would you pronounce Bram?
Bram like Sam or Bram like Brahm?

My grandson's name is Bram and I and everyone else pronounces it to rhyme with Sam. Nobody has pronounced it Brahm, and it never occurred to me that anyone would. Brahm to me would be Brom, as in the character Brom Bones in "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow".

I say it like Brahm. Not that you asked, but I love it and am a little concerned about how many times I'm seeing it on here lately. :(

Yes, it appears that names like Bram, Ivan, Hugo, Bruno, and the like are making a bit of a comeback.
I say it like Brahm too, because that appears to be the peoper Irish Pronunciation. In the US it is usually pronounced Bram like Sam...which poses a problem for me.

Yes, that is a bit problematic. I would never have even considered Bram to rhyme with Sam. But it seems that the others all disagree with me. Drat. That doesn't even sound nice. :(
