I have a student named Diego. He's Mexican American and lives in an area that's mostly white, but there are several Hispanic immigrant families too. I don't see any reason to be teased because of this name. It's hard to see it as being too foreign when there's a well known city here with that name (San Diego). I'd assume that a Diego is Hispanic, though. If you're Hispanic, people probably would say 'family name' before 'ugh, foreign name'. Diego goes well with both Liliana and Emilia. All three sound like a good sibset too.
