[Opinions] Alexandra or Aleksandra?
Different pronunciations. al-eg-ZAN-dra or ah-lek-SAHN-dra, respectively. Which do you prefer, and why?

I prefer Alexandra.
I agree that Alexandra and Aleksandra have different pronunciations. I come from a country where Aleksandra is much more common and it really doesn't have the same pronunciation as Alexandra.

Alexandra because I think the spelling will cause so so so much less confusion. And truthfully, when I say them outloud there is next to no difference. Unless you mean the second one to be ah-lek-SAWN-dra where SAWN rhymes with yawn. Then it just sounds pretentious and I don't like it.
I like the look of Alexandra but the sound of Aleksandra. I've always wondered why English speakers say "gz" instead of "ks" for X in a lot of words...
On a related note, I know an Aleczandra. I think that spelling looks awkward though.

This.
Alexandra. I think it looks better.
I much prefer Alexandra. I prefer the way it sounds and looks. :-)
Alexandra. I don't really think the pronunciations are all that different. I think either spelling could be used for either pronunciation.
I'd rather see Alexandra if you're not from a place where Aleksandra is how the name is spelled more often. Why go out of your way if you're a fifth generation Irish-American or something?
I knew an Aleksandra from Poland and she pronounced it the same way as Alexandra.

I prefer Alexandra. To be honest I dislike them both. Alexandra would be easier to live with. Aleksandra would probably always have to explain the pronunciation. Also I know an Aleksandra 'Aleks' from Eastern Europe (I think she's from Poland, not sure) and she pronounces it just like Alexandra.
My favorite Alex-name is Alexa.
