[Opinions] Two BAs at home
Two friends of a friend had their babies within a month of each other (and the friend I actually know is having her baby in a couple of weeks - she's naming the baby Emberly Skye). Both babies have the same name, with different spellings. One is Bently Alexander, and one is BentLee Jasmine.Yeah. BentLee. On a girl. I may have died a little bit.

Emberly Skye... I don't get the -ly. What is with the -ly! Erk.Bentley / BentLee - both terrible. I think I've changed my name about Brayden. Bentley is definitely my least favourite trendy name right now. The "bent" sound is just so goddamn unattractive. Why?! Alexander and Jasmine are both lovely. They totally should have gone with Alexander and Jasmine. Urgh I actually have no words for Bentley and BentLee.

Emberly Skye is cute, if sort of trendy.Bently Alexander isn't bad. BentLee is horrible! I like the mn Jasmine though.I liked the name Bentley before I discovered it was a car.

Blech. I don't like Bentley as it is, even for a boy. I like it even less for a girl. BentLee is a wreck. I hope she chooses to go by Jasmine somewhere down the road.I don't care for the Bently part of Bently Alexander, but I love Alexander.

Oh wow, I hate Bentley. It's so pretentious and will sound cheap in a few years. Not to mention that its claim to fame is Teen Mom or whatever that show is called. Bently looks like its missing something. BentLee is odd. Was she named after someone? Looks as if they tried to honor a Bent (is that a name?) and a Lee. Jasmine and Skye are nice. I hate Alexander, it's worse than Bentley to me, like nails on a chalkboard. Emberly is trendy but ok.I don't even care whether Bentley is used on a boy or girl it's so unattractive that it doesn't even matter.

There was (is?) a posh English brand of car (automobile) called a Bentley, but I too hate it as a first name. The "bent" bit is unattractive. I wondered how much "Teen Mom" influenced the name. One of the other babies in that series is Leah Leanne which is a funny combo.Sorry - posted in wrong spot.

I'd say it had a huge influence. It was 500-something in 2009. I think the episode was shown in late 2009. In 2010 it was 100-something and then number 90-something.I know it's a car, but I don't think it would be common without that show. I actually like the sound of Leah Leanne even though I don't care for the names.
