Barry Watson and Natasha Gregson Wagner just had a daughter named Clover Clementyne.
I'm not a fan.

I know a Clementene, whose parents spell it that way to clarify pronunciation and, primarily I think, to avoid the song. She's known as Clemmie, so they probably needn't have bothered.
If a daughter named Clemmie was a priority of mine, I'd name her Clemency without hesitation.
Clover doesn't feature where I live, as a plant or a name, so the only time I've ever seen it was on the little sister in the 'What Katy Did' books. If I recall, she was sometimes called Clovie. Not good.

Getting sick of the love affair people have with Clementine...
...or in this case, Clementyne. Huckleberry Hound, ahoy.

Clover I like and Clementine I like but together it is way too much! also that 'y' in Clementyne is killing me!
Clementyne. Really?

Clover just doesn't scream "person" as much as "cow" to me.
Clementine should never have y. Other than that, I don't mind the name.
Cs are one of the few letters I appreciate alliteration with.

I kinda like Clover, but it sounds more like a dog's name than a person's name. My maternal grandparents used to own a Golden Retriever named Clover.
Personally, I think Clementine is overrated. It's okay, but it sounds kinda snooty. The Y spelling doesn't help.

I don't like it. I dislike Clover immensely, and Clementyne with a y seems unnecessary. Clementine would be better.
Geez, even Clementine Clover would be better.

moooo!
Very bovine.
Very bovine.
it's the combo that kills it. either alone would be less cow-like.
not Clover...
Clover might not be as bovine as Bessie or Flossie, but it's very close.
My daughter has a little stuffed cow she's had since she was born. The name on its tag is Clover.

But that's all just personal associations. I'd never peg Flossie as a cow name and have never seen Annabel or Elsie that way either, even though they seem like "cow" names to a lot of other people.
Clover sounds more "hippyish" to me. Clementine is more "home on the range" so yes, together they read bovine (hippy cattle rancher) but separated and paired differently I get different impressions from them

I like Clover and Clementine, but not together and not with that 'y' in there.
Bleah. Clover is one of my GPs, but what a twee combo. Clover Clementyne is like something an 8 year old would name a cow.
I wonder if they had a reason for the Clementyne spelling or if it was just another stupid "Y can replace any old vowel!" misspelling.

... Clover Clementine would have been such a wonderful name ...
Kill the y!!!!!
What the heck is with all these stupid y's. Whats wrong with Clementine!!!
#$@(#@* (my head just exploded).
Everytime I see a kid with an extra y in their name I automatically think that the parents are stupid.

I subbed for a student named Clover this year. She went by Chloe. Not sure why they had to substitute the Y in Clementine.
