[Opinions] Taylor (guy)

It's definitely overused, at least in my generation. A lot of boys were named Taylor.
Personally, I think it sounds better on a girl. It's 90's trendy, sure, but it's still cute, IMHO.

I only like it as a masculine name. I don't like it for girls. It's overused for girls, but not for boys.
It's overused for both genders, in my opinion. It was in the top 100 for years, also for boys.
I'm not a huge fan of Taylor in general. I think I like it more for a boy mostly because its becoming more popular for girls and I wouldn't mind balancing things out some.
Yeah, I agree it seems to work just as well for a boy or a girl. If I see Taylor written down, I'm afraid to assume one way or the other.
Taylor (and Tyler, too) feels like it's already had its time in the sun. I'm ready for it to fade away now for a long rest. That said, it doesn't feel as overused for boys as it does for girls.

I think this is a firmly unisex name, which is rare. I personally think it's better on a guy because it's a "trade" name (like Sawyer, Archer, Bailey, Reeve, etc.). Also, to me, it just sounds more masculine.
I do think it's a bit overused, but mostly about 5-10 years ago, and definitely overused for girls when that trend hit. It's not the worst crossover name for girls, though.
