[Opinions] Nolan
WDYT?
I've recently decided that I quite like it. It is in the Top 100 in the US, but I've never met one in Australia.
Combo suggestions would also be great :-)

Nolan is one of my few GPs. I don't usually like names derived from surnames at all.
I like it, thanks to director Christopher Nolan. He is famous for directing "The Dark Knight" and "The Prestige."
I've liked it for a while. I think phonetically it's kind of an alternative to Noah, which would explain the ranking (I had no idea it was so common!). But I think it's very handsome.
Hm.
I don't really like it.
It's kind of a bad name, not because of what you think, I just think it's bad because it's too... Bland. There's nothing to it. It's like saying "No land".
It's just an empty name that I tend to skip over whenever I read it.

I'm surprised it so common in the US. I certainly don't think of Nolan as a popular name. Anyway, I like it. I think it's a strong masculine name without being macho. A gentleman who knows what he wants.

Nolan Grey

Nolan Keir
Nolan Amadeus
Nolan Quinn

It's a handsome name. I've only met one Nolan who is in his mid twenties now, so even though it has entered the top 100 in the U.S., it still seems fresh to me. It's not in the top 100 in my state, and I don't encounter it often at all, so I don't think that it's popular in my area at least.

A friend of my sister's named one of her twin sons Nolan fourteen years ago. The other twin is named Patrick, but I always want to say that the other twin's name is Ryan because of the major league baseball player Nolan Ryan. I think "Nolan and Ryan" and then have to correct myself.
I like Nolan. It's handsome.

I've always thought it was a nice name. It feels very like All-American baseball-y to me. Possibly because of Nolan Ryan. I went to school with two Nolans, and had always been surprised it wasn't more common. Although I suppose it's getting more common, being in the Top 100 and I know at least one little Nolan.
I'd stick with the baseball name thing for combos:
Nolan Andrew
Nolan Charles
Nolan Leland
..can't think of anything else but Ryne, but that wouldn't work!
