Update: Sara Beth decided against skipping a grade, it was an issue in my last post..
It's three weeks into the sixth grade. I was really worried, since I was moving to middle school, but it has turned out better than I ever dreamed. I went out on a limb and joined the drama club, and guess what!? I got one of the leading roles in our first school play! We are doing Charlotte's Web for the 3-5th grade classes at my old Elementary School, and I'm Fern!
As a reward for All A's last year, and I guess for getting the part in the play my parents finally allowed me to get my own dog! I got a female Border Collie and her name is Sadie.
Hayden and I are on different soccer teams as of last year, Hayden's team won the district championships this season. We're all really proud of her, since she scored the winning goal!
Tyler is liking school better this year, he and Hayden are in fourth grade. He is now really enjoying math and science classes. He still loves his video games best though!
Jenna made the elementary city league soccer team for this coming season. She'll be playing with Hayden, until next year when Hayden moves to the middle school team. She is thrilled about it, Hayden isn't quite sure she wants her little sister tagging along, but I told Hayden I had to put up with it, so now it's her turn! Jenna is also excelling in school and really enjoys the guitar lessons she is now taking.
Emily is in a local Pre-K class and doing very well. She wrote her first name for the first time yesterday!
Matthew has just begun to put small sentences together. "Want Milk" or "No Nap!" Mom and Dad are thrilled. I think it's cute, but not quite that amazing.
OH.. and guess what I overheard last night? There's going to be a new Peterson in the house... Yeah.. mom is pregnant again! I overheard her telling dad last night, I was going downstairs for a drink of water after having a bad dream. I was extremely shocked, I thought we have a big enough family. Mom and Dad heard my reaction and told me that while they didn't plan on having more children, they would welcome him/her and love all of us just as they always have. They asked me not to tell my siblings, but I told Hayden anyway. I made her swear to act surprised when mom and dad tell her. But I can't keep secrets from her, she figures me out to easily.
Guess that's all the news in this family for now. How much more interesting can it get?
