What are your thoughts on the name Riordan for a boy?

I think it's a last name and should stay that way. Giving a boy a name that has the 'rear' sound in it is just cruel in my opinion.

I really like Riordan. It has a nice sound, fits current trends and isn't insanely uncommon (or made up). I think it's very handsome.

I really really like the look of this name, but not so much the pronunciation (which I'm saying as RAW-den - may be wrong!).
