The Seton Family
DH: Shawn Robert (blue, light brown), 37
DW: Emily Grace (blue-grey, dark blond), 37
DS: Gabriel Beckett (blue-grey, brown), 16
DS: Alexander Michael "Alec" (blue-grey, light brown), 14
DD/DD: Madison Faith and Reagan Hope (blue, honey blond), 10
DS: William John "Liam" (blue, light brown), 3Emily and I recently went through a bit of a rough patch in our relationship. I had gotten a promotion at work, but it required moving to London, England. The job offered a generous pay raise, and I was really tempted to take it. But I also didn't want to uproot the kids from their home in Boston or live apart from my family. At one point, though, I was just about to accept. Emily and I had a huge argument about where my responsibilities lay and what I would be doing to our family if I took the job. In the end, I stayed at my current position and haven't regretted it for a second.Gabriel isn't our little boy anymore. He just turned sixteen and is begging us for a car -- a Range Rover, to be exact. While we're definitely not getting him that, we have discussed perhaps buying a used Toyota or something. Gabriel is also dating his crush from the seventh grade, Rachel Charlotte Hartigan (15). They have been seeing each other for almost a year.Alec, now fourteen, is more an athlete than ever. Right now he's focused on soccer; he's one of the youngest players (only a freshman!) on varsity this year. Because he is also doing well in school, we've allowed him to play another sport. He's leaning towards basketball, but swimming is also a valid option. Alec also has a crush on a girl in his class, Tessa Kate Dennison (14). There is a dance coming up, and he plans on asking her.The twins are now ten. We threw them a big birthday party, which included a week-long family vacation to Disneyland. They loved it and insisted that we go back every year. Madison is a little musical prodigy. She has only been playing piano for three years, but her teacher says that she is already at the level of students who have been playing for at least eight. Other than a few recitals, she hasn't really performed anywhere, though she is playing in a concert in a few weeks. Reagan, on the other hand, quit piano because she didn't want to compete with her sister. She is still very outgoing; her favorite hobbies are shopping and talking. The latter "hobby" often gets her in trouble during class, as she is incredibly outspoken and loves to give her opinion on everything.Baby Liam isn't quite a baby anymore. At three, he's still the youngest, but he loves to try to do everything his older siblings do. For his birthday, Gabriel got him a little soccer ball, with Liam now carries (or kicks) around with him everywhere. It's absolutely adorable when he tries to imitate his big brothers and sisters.
