Recently John and I went through a tought time. He feels I am spending too much time away from home, when the kids are at such a crucial period. We ended up seperating for a while, Tash and Will coming to live with me, while Landon, Alex and Bekah stayed with John. In the end, we realized we both still loved each other, and this was doing the kids more harm then me being away from home. John has decided to take a semester off from teaching to concentrate on the farm and the family, while I continue to work, but we are in a good place right now, so I will be cutting back my hours.
Landon recently got his drivers license, and is pestering us to buy him a truck. He really wants a Toyota Tundra, but will 'settle' for any kind. We're thinking about suprising him for his birthday, but it will probably be a smaller truck like a Nissan Ranger. Landon is now dating Charlotte, the girl he had a crush on when he was younger.
Alex had continued with his hockey, just like his big brother Landon. He's also taken up skiing this year, which is great! He has a crush on a girl in his class named Tori.
Tash has continued on with her Flute lessons. She decided to stop playing hockey, and concentrate on music and dance. Her teacher thinks she is an expceptional Flute player, and is encouraging us to put her in the Musical COnservatory by our house. Bekah has stopped keyboard, and is an extremely outgoing and talkative person which often gets her in trouble in class! She has continued with Hockey, and takes one dance class, but is no where near as serious as her sister. Or the girls tenth birthday, we allowed them to have a slumber party... it was crazy! Tash invited all her friends from Dance and music, while we finally broke down and allowed Bekah to invite the boys from her hockey team. It ended up being a lot of fun for the girls!
Will is a cutie :) He follows his big sister Bekah around, and very badly wants to play hockey. Daddy took him out on the pond last week, and it looks like he will be a natural ;). Bekah gave him a stuffed monkey for his birthday that he has fallen in love with and carries around everywhere with him.
