I've never actually seen it used though (in real life or fiction). If I had, it might seem more personable to me than it currently does...sort of like using Maple as a name (actually, no, I like that more)...

This has been brought up so many times lately! My answer is the same:
Primrose sucks. It even sucks as an animal's name.

I like it. I think it's lovely. Prim and Rosie are both really adorable nickname options. It has a sweet elegance, but I don't find it cloying like some others. I think it's refined.

It doesn't seem like a name worth considering to me, it feels choppy, like a plain compound noun (example popcorn). I like for a name to sound melodious or rhythmic, and this does not to me. That's just my opinion though!

I think it's awful.

I can't get the "prim" part out of my head. But I do like other frilly, flowery names so I do get the appeal in general. It's just not for me, sorry.
