It's been in the top 100 here since the 70s and top 10 since the 90s - in the most recent chart it was #2. So it's pretty overdone here - yet still its powers of cute are strong enough to make me like it anyway. I know a lot of them, though, so I don't think I'd use it.
I think freshening it up would probs have to involve conjoining it to something really startlingly unusual, maybe hyphenating, but I can't think of anything good atm, just silly
