[Opinions] Chenille
For some reason, Chenille just popped into my head right now. I think I could see it as a name for a girl. I don't know how usable it is, however, since it's French for caterpillar.
What do you think of Chenille as a name? Could you see it as a person's name?

not only is it French for caterpillar...
Which plenty of people wouldn't know, it's a fuzzy ribbed kind of fabric. I have a chenille blanket on our bed.
It would be like naming a kid Corduroy or Velour.

Well, people do name kids Velvet... but that's just horribly tacky.
Chenille sounds like it could be a name, but I can't see it as one. I'm a craft person, so it's all fuzzy fabric.

Not at all. It reminds me of old chenille bedspreads-you know, the ones with the raised designs? It's silly as a name, sorry.
I have known a couple Chenille's...maybe up to 5 even. I like it well enough as a name.
