I would pronounce Taya like I do Maya - TY-uh, rather than TAY-uh.
And if it was Tea... Because I'd assume the parents didn't mean to name their kid after the hot drink, I might also pronounce it like Tia.
So I'd go for Téa. I like it, but I think both spellings are problematic. I'd hate to be correcting everyone all the time.
