What a surprise year this has been for us. Starting with the big news, we're expecting again! We couldn't believe it but it's true. We're delighted with our surprise which we recently found out is a boy! The twins were a little disappointed, I think they were hoping for their very own little baby doll and thus wanted a sister but they'll come around.
Speaking of our girls. Grace and Laura are doing wonderful. Grace is taking acoustic guitar lessons while Laura has settled for the more traditional approach and wanted to play the piano. Both of them are getting along nicely in their lessons. I only wish they were getting along better with their brothers! Well at least Alexander. Alexander and the twins are constantly going head to head. It's very exhausting. Ron has decided himself too "mature" for childish games most of the times. Laura in particular has seemed to make it her life's mission to annoy Alexander, much to my dislike. Grace on the other hand is much more laid back and doesn't bother her older brother unless he does her first.
Beyond fights with his sister Alexander is having a lot of fun this year. He's a great player on his soccer team, but unfortunately the sport has made his mind rather one tracked. I was ready for him to quit when he broke his nose during a game but he begged to continue playing after it healed up. I couldn't refuse him but I'm much more watchful of his games and practices now.
Our very own little Romeo Ron is doing good as well. His grades in school are wonderful and his behavior is improving. He got into trouble a couple of months ago for skipping class. We were very disappointed, and along with his month of detention he receieved at school, he was grounded for two weeks at home. And we now have Mrs. Clark next door, who is retired inform us if Ron comes home during the middle of a school day again. So far that hasn't happened and I'm counting on that it won't again. More recently his mind is focused on a fellow classmate, Charlotte. Alexander has informed us that they flirt constantly on the schoolbus. We don't know what to do with him! He's such a charmer.
Just last night we had a family meeting and decided a very important decision. What to name the new addition to our family. We agreed to Vincent Luke. Everyone is happy with it and the girls have already started refering to him as "Vinny".
