Six years have gone by. The Thompson and Miller kids are all growing up now!
Caitie graduated from college last year with a degree in education. She is teaching at a small, rural elementary school, and she loves it! She recently married her long-time boyfriend, Ben.
Joey is going to the college as well, and he is studying mechanical engineering. He also has a steady girlfriend, but they aren't anywhere near ready for marriage.
Haley, once she adjusted to living with the Thompsons, began to excel in school. She graduated from high school last year, and is in her first year at UCLA, studying archaeology. Haley has never had time for boys--archaeology is her first love.
Lyddie is still in high school. She envies Haley for her smarts, but is certainly more of a social butterfly than her adopted sister. She is in a serious dating relationship with one of the boys in her class.
Shane is just starting high school this year. He is a brainy kid, like his sister; however, he isn't motivated by school. He much prefers to do his own thing, and he's more of a free spirit.
Aiden, the youngest, is just 10. He is going into fifth grade. He has varied interests, but he is especially partial to dogs. He wants to be a dog trainer when he grows up. For his tenth birthday, Wil and Bekah bought a puppy for him to train. Sadie and Sami are getting older, and Macy was never one to sit in obedience classes. Archer is a young Brittany Spaniel. He is smart, if rambunctious.
