I think it's okay. It's definitely more popular now than it used to be, so I think it would be more accepted to use it. It does have that "scarlet woman" association to it, but because of Scarlett Johansen I think the image of it has started changing to more of an adventurous person who knows her own mind. That's how I see it at least.

Oh, and I think I maybe like it better spelled Scarlett just because that seems like the "name" spelling to me rather than the "word" spelling. But cute that Scarlet looks like Starlet.
