Since it's not her given name, whatevs. I think nicknames that come from siblings/cousins unable to pronounce a baby's real name are totally cute.

Did you ever watch "Roseanne"? It reminds me of the episode where Jackie discovers that her given name is Marjorie, but that everyone called her Jackie because Roseanne did.
I didn't, but that's hilarious.
My husband's whole family calls his Aunt Janet Aunt Dio because one of his cousins couldn't say Janet when she was little. Not sure how they got Dio out of Janet, but it stuck mostly because there's another Aunt Janet in the family too.

My friend's son used to call his sister Sophia "Fia" and I wound up calling her "Fi-chan" as a result... Then Fi-chan was calling younger sister Julia Jia, but I just can't bring myself to call a little girl "Ji-chan" because it's too close to ojiichan which means grandpa or old man.
My Aunts are Aunt Dunie and Aunt Poohie (like Pooh Bear) because of one of my cousins being unable to say Aunt Laurie and Aunt Gretchen when he was little :P
