I think of Laura as more of an enduring classic rather than an 80s name. I realize due to "Little House" that it was used more often (along with Melissa), however, I still view it as timeless. I went to school with a few (not too many) and have known a few others over the years of all ages. Many of the kids my dds have known were Laurens (only one Laura that I'm aware of).
