[Opinions] Norah, Christina and Sarah
Replies
Norah makes me think old lady, but it might be on the way back... I graduated from uni w/ 2 gals who each have a little one now by that name...
Christina's pretty and may be ready for a modest comeback.
Sarah is timeless, but so overused it's kinda boring unless put in a double name. Sally or Tzeitel would be more refreshing.
As much as I love Adelaide, I wouldn't put it right after Norah for flow reasons... Could maybe switch it around w/ Charlotte.
I don't like Persephone at all, but Constance is nice.
I don't like Prudence as a name at all either, but something needs to go BETWEEN Sarah and Elisabeth, so if you're going to use it anyway, I'd recommend doing it in that order... and then addressing the girl as Sarah-Beth to distinguish her from the millions of other Sarahs out there.

I like Norah; Christina is better than Christine but not as startling as Christiana; and Sarah doesn't appeal to me. In a world that contains the name "Sarah", I can see no need for sleeping pills.
There used to be little paper dolls in a magazine that kids could cut out etc - their names were Norah and Tilly, so keeping your -a theme, what about Norah and Matilda?
With Constance and Prudence, Charlotte is a bit out of step. Clemency or Clemence, perhaps?

Christina seems dated to me. Norah definitely does not seem dated. Sarah kind of does, because I was born in 1987 in the US and grew up around a bunch of white kids. However, Sarah is classic and sounds fresh to me on children now, whereas Christina just sounds dated on children. For siblings, I would say that Sarah & Christina together are dated - those sisters can really only be in their 20s in my opinion - but Sarah & Norah or Norah & Christina don't sound dated as combinations.
Sarah is a classic, so no, I don't think that it's too dated at all. Although I don't see Christina as a classic like Sarah, it's almost seems classic. Nora / Norah actually seems to be "in" these days.
Christina Persephone Constance is a cool combo. Persephone Constance really spices up Christina.
Norah Adelaide Charlotte is a respectable combo.
Prudence gives Sarah Elisabeth a puritanical vibe, which I like, but I don't care for the way Prudence sounds. How about Sarah Elisabeth Patience?

I love Christina, it's in my top five and has been for a long time.
Sarah bores me to tears. Like I said in the "names you just don't like" thread yesterday, Sarah seems like a "default" name now because it's so overused and been so popular for so long.
I don't like Norah at all, or Nora, or Eleanor or Annora or Noreen. The name jas has a snoring feeling to it, and seems plain and dowdy.

Norah without the H is incomplete in my opinion. Adelaide makes me think of someone helping the singer. I like Charlotte.
Christina to me is so common and it screams 1986. Plus all the different spellings make it obnoxious. Persephone is a wonderful Greek myth, but god forbid a girl named Persephone should ever have a red mouth (like all little kids get) around someone who knows the Greek myths 'Did you eat the pomegranate?' Constance is old, stuffy and just all around boring, but I like Christina Constance for some reason.
Sarah is one of the most common names for people my age, I must have gone through school with 2 dozen of them. I am just not a fan of it. Elisabeth reminds me of Elizabeth with a lisp. Prudence is, like Constance, old, stuffy and boring.
I grew up in a family that loves to give long names. It's not as cute when you have to fill out job applications and the like later in life.

Sarah is classic, and Nora(h) is being rediscovered now, so Christina is the only one that feels a touch dated to me. I still like it, though (a lot, actually), and I think it's usable.
Norah Adelaide Charlotte: Nice, but the superfluous -h on Nora bothers me a lot. I think it make the name look far less elegant.
Christina Persephone Constance: This really doesn't work for me. I like Constance way, way, way more than Persephone, but I'd rather see this combo without it. Constance feels like a lead weight here, dragged behind the other names.
Sarah Elisabeth Prudence: Okay. Very Puritanical, though, and sort of cold. I wouldn't want Sarah Elisabeth Prudence testifying against me at my witch trial. Elizabeth, the spelling I prefer anyway, seems more in step with Sarah and Prudence.
Together, the three names give me a songstress vibe, after Jones, Aguilera, and Mclachlan. :)

I've never met a Norah so it doesn't feel dated for me. I like it - it's got a nice gentle sound. Norah Adelaide Charlotte is lovely.
I wouldn't say Christina was dated either - the only one I've ever met is my aunt, who's 60-something. It's been really growing on me lately. Not sure the combo works for me though, Constance seems wrong somehow although it's a nice name.
Sarah is too classic to ever be dated! And Sarah Elisabeth Prudence is great.

Nora is my cousin's name. I don't think it's dated but it might get trendy. I like it. Not fond of the Norah spelling, the H just doesn't feel right.
I like Christina, also Kristina. It's 80s dated but still nice.
I like Sara, but not Sarah. I pronounce them the same but they give me different images. Sara is the cute girl in A Little Princess so it's special to me. Sarah is boring. My other cousin is Sara. Sara and Nora, they're twins. Your combos are all nice sounding. I don't care for the meaning of Persephone or the sound of Conatsance and Prudence. I prefer Elizabeth over Elisabeth.
