Ooh. For me, it's a soft, creamy shade of yellow, though I also feel the connection to innocence. In a word, I would describe it as pleasant. I think it's a little too soft for my own tastes, but it's still beautiful and bright! I would be happy to meet an Anwen at any age. I love the combos Anwen Philomena and Anwen Jane, as they complement each other well.
Also, I feel like I'm actually getting an olfactory response to this name. It smells like white lilies. Weird! Maybe it's something in the room that I just noticed, but I've never had that kind of association before. Usually I just get vivid imagery from sound.
As for the Anwyn spelling, I feel your pain. Non-namenerds will never understand this sorrow we share :p

That's cool. I don't often get smells from names either. Only a handful of them, excluding obvious ones (like Hyacinth smelling like hyacinth).
