Welcome Hailey, Justin, and Leanna!
Congratulations!
Hailey Kaitlyn is 15 years old and comes from Cleveland, Ohio. She has brown hair and brown eyes. She is a very kind and thoughtful girl, although very shy. She is obese and this has resulted in a diagnosis of Type II diabetes, which will need to be treated and monitored. She likes school very much and excels particularly well in math and physics. She wants to be an electrical engineer when she grows up. Her favorite foods include french fries with ketchup, cinnamon toast, and blueberry muffins. She likes animals, especially large dogs. She has been raised Presbyterian, but is not particularly religious. Her hobbies include reading books, playing video games, and spending time with friends and family.
Justin Roy is 14 years old and comes from Galveston, Texas. He has brown hair and green eyes. He is a very outgoing and energetic child with moderate ADHD. He is very creative and wants to be a movie director when he gets older. He makes friends easily and is well-liked by his teachers at school. His favorite school subjects are anything to do with science. He is a good football player and wants to play on the varsity team when he starts high school this year. He has been raised in a Catholic family and his faith is important to him. He speaks English and conversational Spanish. He loves eating any kind of meat, especially spicy sausage and barbecue. His brother Andrew is 19 years old and attending college at the University of Denver. Justin would like to remain in contact with him.
Leanna Valerie is 9 years old and comes from Calgary, Alberta. She has blonde hair and blue eyes. She speaks both English and German. Her family was Lutheran, and she would like to continue to attend services. She is blind, but gets along perfectly well anywhere there is Braille. Her favorite foods are lasagna and pizza. She is a very funny child and loves to tell and listen to jokes. She wants to be a journalist when she gets older, as she loves to write and talk with people. She loves cats and birds, but not dogs. She loves to listen to any kind of music, especially country. She plays guitar exceptionally well for her age and also writes music. She is looking forward to having siblings again; her family was killed in a plane crash and she misses them terribly. She would like to visit their gravesites once a year, if it's possible.
Congratulations!

Welcome Sofiya, Maksim, Nadezhda, and Elena!
Congratulations!
Sofiya is 12 years old and comes from St. Petersburg, Russia. She has light brown hair and blue eyes. She is small for her age and quite thin; this is partially due to the deplorable conditions of her orphanage. She has not been raised in any particular religion, although she was dropped at the orphanage with a Star of David around her neck. She likes to look at magazines and hopes to be a model someday if she gets taller. She loves to try on clothes and is a very skilled seamstress. Her best subjects in school are art and music. She plays the violin. She is looking forward to living someplace warm where she can go to the beach! Her favorite foods are pelmeni and tea cookies.
Maksim is 8 years old and comes from Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine. He has brown hair and brown eyes. He has been raised Jewish and is moderately religious. His favorite foods are cherry vareniki and chocolate cake, which he has had only once. He is intelligent, but doesn't care to study much. He prefers to spend time playing sports and playing guitar. He has a very colorful imagination and likes to make up stories and jokes. He gets impatient quite easily and can be a bit spoiled. He is fiercely loyal to people he cares about. He looks forward to having siblings for the first time! He would like to be a banker or entrepreneur someday.
Nadezhda "Nadia" is 3 years old and comes from Krasnoyarsk, Russia. She has brown hair and hazel eyes. She is the older sister to infant Elena. She is a very active child who tends to dominate her little sister. She has a tendency to shout to get what she wants, but normally she is very sweet and friendly. She does not yet know how to read. She likes to play with her rag doll and to sing. She is developmentally normal.
Elena is an infant from Krasnoyarsk, Russia. She has brown hair and hazel eyes. She appears to have no disabilities of any kind.

Dear PantheraVirgo Adoption Agency,
We feel so blessed to be writing to you today, nearly two years since we adopted four of our beloved children with your help. It is a special day for us, not just because of our adoption anniversary but also because Avi is graduating high school tomorrow. It is really hard to believe that we have come so far from who we were back when we first met you.
Although I doubted it would actually happen, Aviyah has been very much changed by the experience of adopting new "siblings". Avi has lived with us since she was around Maya's age (when her parents died), and she living with us when both our biological daughters were born, without much effect. She played with and loved them of course, but until recently she would not go out of her way to spend time with them. When the 'new kids' arrived, she seemed to realize how lucky we all are to have a family. She gets on, with us and our kids, so much better than she used to.
Sofia has really blossomed. Although she has her teenage angst-y moments, for the most part she is pretty sweet. Sofia really looks up to Avi (although not literally, since soon after Sofia came to live with us she shot up in height) and the two of them have connected over music. Having Avi around seems to have really comforted Sofia and helped her deal with the grief of being abandoned as a child. Now that Sofia has finished 8th grade, we have really enjoyed seeing her take to math and reading, among other subjects. She is very motherly to our other children.
Unsurprisingly, Max and Maya are best of friends. The two of them are almost the same age, which works well in their relationship. M&M, as we like to call them, enjoy playing outside and making up stories as they go. When Max and Maya first became good friends, Tali was incredibly jealous. However, after a few weeks and spending some time with both Max and Maya, alone and together, Tali made her peace with the new arrangement. Max loves joining his older sister for jam sessions whenever Tali and Maya are having sisterly bonding time.

Welcome Gianni, Rodolfo, Oceane, and Jarek!
Congratulations!
Gianni and Rodolfo are twin infants from Turin, Italy. They have brown hair and brown eyes. Both appear to be developmentally normal.
Oceane Marie is 3 years old and is from Paris, France. She has black hair and green eyes. She is a very intelligent child and is already beginning to read. She loves to play with dolls and to play dress-up. Her favorite movies are Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella and she wants to be a princess (or Miss USA) when she grows up. She is very sweet and gentle with animals and other children. She is a very picky eater and has a tendency to throw small tantrums when she is given food that is not to her liking. She loves classical music to be on and will make up silly ballet dances to entertain herself.
Jarek is 4 years old and comes from Gdynia, Poland. He has blond hair and blue eyes. He is a quiet and shy child, but intelligent and thoughtful. He speaks Polish and some Russian, but he is a quick learner and will have little trouble with English. He likes dogs, cartoons, and eating lots and lots of cheese and potato pierogies. He says he wants to be a "tummy doctor" when he grows up; he lost his mother last year to liver failure from alcoholism and does not know the particulars surrounding her death. He is very courteous and helpful to people, but will take a while to warm up to others. Jarek is looking forward to having his own bedroom and to trying a hamburger in the United States for the first time!
Please keep us updated on the newest members of your family!

Two Years Later... (sorry if this counts as copying .P.)
Our family has been doing great since the adoption of our latest children; Jarek, Oceane, Gianni and Rodolfo.
Misaki, now 15, immediately fell in love with them, as she did with the others. She's always been great with kids. Her and David are now in a really nice public high school, and she's made lots of friends with her best friend from homeschoolling, Mia. Last year, she took over as Jarek and Maxim's private tutor. Both have really improved.
David, now 14, was a little less then excited about our newest additions, he was with Maxim, too. He's not very social. However, Oceane was reading out loud. David heard and was really impressed. He's lately been much more open, not just with her but with us. I now have a picture of him, the twins, and the girls at a tea party. At school, he's a bit more social and talks to kids in his freshman classes (most of his classes are junior classes). He's been enrolled at that school since mid 7th grade, since we needed him to make friends.
Dalia, now 13, turned into head designer on the bedrooms. She transformed Oceane's into a perfert princess palace and Jarek's is full of red, orange, yellow and blue. It's very bright. Her and Nicoletta designed the twins' rooms together, Gianni's in pale blue and yellow and Rodolpho's in teal and red.
Nicoletta, now 11, was, as I said, the assistant bedroom designer. She has also been Oceane's "dance instructor", and they have preformed for us at Christmas (we celebrate the non-religious way, hi Santa!), Hanukkah (for David), birthdays, and parties. They have a lot of fun together.
Luke, now 10, and Guido, now 9, have made Jarek their "project", meaning he is becoming mini-Lukeguido. Although they can be a bit annoying to him, he does play with them, they always invite him, even with the older kids, and he seems to like it. However, sometimes the two compete to be Jarek's "favorite". Luke is very competetive, and sometimes scares him. Guido is our funny guy, and Jarek likes to hang out with him.

Welcome Khadija and Aisha!
Congratulations!
Khadija is 6 years old and comes from Isfahan, Iran. She has black hair and dark brown eyes. She likes to play with animals and other children. She does not know how to read or write yet, as she came from a very poor and strictly religious Muslim family. She likes any sweet foods. The first thing she would like to do when she gets to the United States is to go see a movie and then see New York. She likes flowers very much. She is of average intelligence and is developmentally normal.
Aisha is 2 years old and comes from Karaj, Iran. She has black hair and amber eyes. She likes milk and yogurt and has a tendency to throw food she doesn't like. She has no known disabilities, but little is known about her interests either. She is outgoing and will get herself into trouble quickly if left unsupervised.
Please keep us updated on your new family members!

Two Years Later
Everyone is doing very well two years later.
Khadija is now 8 and is still very friendly. She got to see her movie in the US and was very happy about it and couldn't stop talking about it all. It took Khadija a while to get used to speaking English and learning to write, but now she's caught up and is doing well in school. She still loves animals, and keeps pestering to get a pet.
Aisha, now 4, has become best friends with Sara. In fact, some people mistake the girls for twins. She is better behaved now that she is settled. Aisha loves dancing now, and has started to take ballet lessons.

Welcome Elina, Fredrik, and Miles!
Congratulations!
Elina is 12 years old and comes from Stockholm, Sweden. She has platinum blonde hair and blue eyes. She is Fredrik's twin sister; he also has platinum blonde hair and blue eyes. Both children are very intelligent and friendly. They speak both Swedish and English fluently, and Elina says that she would like to learn German. Fredrik would like to learn French. Elina is just hitting puberty and is going through some attitude changes that are normal for a preteen girl, but can be a little difficult to deal with. Fredrik is still perfectly agreeable. He likes to play chess and spend time with his friends. His favorite foods are pasta and meatballs. Elina likes to play tennis, ski, swim, and dance ballet. Her favorite foods are smoked fish and turkey with roasted potatoes. She wants to be a doctor when she grows up, probably a pediatrician. Fredrik says that he doesn't know what he wants to be yet, but that he wants to have a girlfriend already!
Miles is an infant from Provo, Utah. He has red hair and blue eyes. He has no known disabilities.
Keep us updated on your new family members!

Elina, Fredrik, and Miles are doing great. Miles is walking and talking a bit. He is growing just on schedule and lights up the place. He loves to play with the dog and Daisy sure loves him. Sam had a little trouble adjusting to not being the baby anymore but now he loves having a baby brother. Fredrik is now starting to hit puberty too but obviously that it what happens at this age. Nothing we can't handle. Overall he is still a pretty well behaved kid and has been taking French at school. He has made a few good friends. Elina can be stressful but she is a wonderful kid. She is also talking German at school. Lily wants to be just like her. Elina is our athlete and plays sports year round. She loves living in Denver where she can still ski. Overall the twins are adjusting great. Thank you so much.
Rick, Alex, Lina, Fred, Lily, Sam, Miles, and Daisy.

Welcome Rupert, James, and Mariya!
Congratulations!
Rupert Daniel and James Henry Hugh are siblings from Liverpool, England. Rupert is 7 years old and James is 5. Rupert speaks English and a little French; James speaks only English. Both boys are developmentally normal. Rupert has red hair and green eyes. James has brown hair and the same green eyes. Rupert is outgoing and friendly and does well in school. He likes history and geography and does especially well in those subjects. Getting him to study math is a chore! He is an athletic child and plays soccer very well for his age. He would like to continue this when he is settled into his new home. James is quieter than Rupert, but still makes friends easily. He loves to play games and pranks on people. He loves telling jokes and says he wants to be in the movies when he grows up. He likes animals a lot, especially reptiles.
Mariya "Masha" is 4 years old and comes from Perm, Russia. She has blonde hair and grey eyes. She is slightly behind developmentally due to the conditions of the orphanage in which she has been living since she was born, but she may catch up in a few years. Her favorite color is light blue, and she loves drawing pictures. Her favorite place is the beach, she says, although she has never been. She has a pet cat from the orphanage, named Grisha, that she is happy to keep with her. She cannot read or write, but she does know a few English words and phrases. Since she is so young, she will learn quickly. She has seen a few Disney movies from the U.S., and she says that she wants to be a princess when she grows up.
Please keep us updated on the new members of your family!

The children have been with us for over a year now and are very settled. It took Mariya a while to settle in, as the language barrier made it difficult for her to interact with the other children, though her and Ethan have played together a lot recently. Mariya's English has very much improved and there is now little she doesn't understand. Her achievements at school this year have also been brilliant.
Rupert, James and Ethan all joined a football club this year, and Rupert is fantastic. They are all thoroughly enjoying it and love spending Saturdays and some evenings with Gabriel. Ethan and James like playing cars in the playroom, as we bought them a new car mat and loads of cars! Rupert has a new teacher and is slowly beginning to enjoy Maths, so we are hoping he can do well in this subject as well.

Welcome Lucie and Thibault!

Lucie Romane is 15 years old and comes from Aix-en-Provence, France. She has brown hair and hazel eyes. She speaks French, Italian, and some English, but would like to become more fluent and also learn Spanish. She is Catholic. Her parents were killed recently in a car accident, along with her little sister Marie. She is looking forward to having siblings in the house! Thibault Daniel is 10 years old and comes from Quebec City, Quebec. He speaks both English and French. He has brown hair and blue eyes. He would like to remain in contact with his brother Mathis (17) and his sister Emma (15). Thibault likes any kind of animal except German Shepherds. He loves car races and is excited to be able to watch one on a television with his new family. He loves running around outside and wants to learn how to ski and snowboard. His favorite foods are steak and mashed potatoes. He has no disabilities.

Thibault Daniel is 10 years old and comes from Quebec City, Quebec. He speaks both English and French. He has brown hair and blue eyes. He loves sports and rock music, and he would love his own guitar someday. He and his brother and sister became wards of the state after their single mother was arrested for prostitution and drug use.
Please keep us up to date on your new family members!
One year later!
Lucie and Thibault have adjusted well over the past year with our family.
Lucie, now 16, started grade 10 this year with her sister Penny (who's one year ahead). She made many friends at her new Catholic high school and her friends have helped her become almost fluent in English now. Lucie bakes a lot with Penny and they are both in Skills Canada for baking; in a few years they will be good enough to compete at the provincial competition and hopefully nationals. We take her to church every Sunday, and one reason why she adjusted so quickly is to have the familiarity of weekly church services. We taught Lucie how to indoor rock climb and she (along with Thibault) helped improve everyone's French. She also taught piano and harp to Penny and Charlotte. Nathan started picking up some Italian and later taught her how to make the best grilled cheese. She cries sometimes, like on Marie's birthday or Christmas, because she still mourns her parents and sister. We have supported her and she has grown to love her new family and many siblings.
Thibault is now 11 and has started grade 6. He made quite a few friends, but was bullied for a few months due to his Quebecois accent. The bullying stopped after he talked to Lucie and later us as a whole family. Will and I talked to the principal and the bully's parents to put an end to this. He has never gone to church before, but now regularly attends with the family. Thibault now says he wants to transfer from the public school to the Catholic junior high next year. Since he has never had a nice dog before, he loves Roman! He and his new "frère" Nathan take Roman to the dog park nearby often to play with her. Thibault bonded really well with Will, his first real dad. They like to watch hockey and race cars on TV whenever they can. He has enrolled in soccer, hockey, volleyball and later learned rock climbing (which he now enjoys a lot!). For Christmas, we got him an acoustic beginner's guitar with some lessons from our family friend (and Will's former roomie) John. He misses Mathias and Emma, but already we have gone to visit them and another trip planned in a few months. He also takes advantage of skype to talk to them. On our annual mountain trip with John and his family, we got lessons for Lucie and Thibault, who quickly learned and enjoyed their weekend with the family.

Welcome Yeva and Krikor!
Congratulations!
Yeva and Krikor are two-year-old twins from Yerevan, Armenia. They have dark brown hair and amber eyes. Yeva is the elder twin by twelve minutes. Neither child has any disability of any sort. Both Yeva and Krikor are developmentally at or above average. Krikor is loud and outgoing. He speaks a lot and doesn't like to walk; he runs instead. He has no fear approaching strangers and always wants to make friends. He seems to like cats but not dogs. Yeva is much quieter and prefers to play alone with toys than to actively pursue new friendships. She is clingy when it comes to her brother. Her favorite color is red, and she looks beautiful wearing deep red.
Please keep us updated on the new additions to your family!

Welcome Corey, Luis, Kilee, and Madelyn!
Congratulations!
Corey Tyler is 12 years old and comes from Vancouver, British Columbia. He has brown hair and green eyes. He is the older brother of Madelyn. Corey and Madelyn were given up by their parents, who were arrested for running a drug lab. Corey likes dogs, football, playing electric bass, and staring at girls in school. He studies at an average level in school. His favorite subjects are wood shop and history. He thinks he wants to be a welder when he gets older, but maybe go to college and study American history. He wants to learn Spanish. He has no disabilities of any kind.
Luis is 11 years old and comes from Guadalajara, Mexico. He has black hair and brown eyes. His parents were killed within the past year. Luis is a very intelligent boy who has grown up in an underprivileged neighborhood. He is a wonderful guitarist and loves to play and write music. He is good at playing marbles and has a lot of fun with that. He speaks Spanish and some broken English. His favorite subjects in school are art and math. He says that when he grows up, he wants to be a pop star like Enrique Iglesias. He wants to travel to many different countries, especially the United States, Japan, and England. He loves to collect pictures and postcards from around the world.
Kilee Makayla is 8 years old and comes from Plano, Texas. She has blonde hair and blue eyes. She was born with a deformed leg and uses a wheelchair to move. She is developmentally above average and has been in the gifted program at her elementary school; she studies at a 7th-grade level. Her parents could not afford to pay her medical bills anymore, as they have six other children. Kilee would like to stay in touch with her parents and siblings. She loves to read books, play video games, watch movies, and play the flute. Her favorite colors are yellow and orange and she would love her bedroom to be painted that way. She is allergic to chocolate and peanuts. If possible, Kilee would love to learn another language. She already speaks English and some Spanish.
Congratulations!

Update :)
It has been two years since the children came to live with us and we are happy to report that they have adjusted wonderfully to their new life.
Corey is now 14 years old has just started his first year of high school. Corey and Caleb were fast friends once Corey got settled in and the two have been practically together all the time since then; Luis also tags along with them frequently. Corey got Caleb into the electric bass and Caleb got him into building models. Since our family lived in Mexico for awhile, all of us speak Spanish rather fluently and Corey, along with Kilee and Madelyn, have been learning it.
Luis is now 13 and is adjusting well to life in his new family, though he still thinks about his parents at times. He was able to skip a grade at school and is in his first year of high school with Corey and Caleb. He has continued to improve his guitar playing skills and he and Hunter often play together; Hunter helps him out a lot and teaches him new songs. His English has improved greatly, much like Corey, Kilee, and Madelyn's Spanish. He also taught everyone how to play marbles and now it is one of our family's favorite games; Luis still wins practically all the time though.
Kilee, now 10, is at a ninth grade level like her brothers, but continues to take gifted classes instead of going to the high school. Aside from improving her Spanish, I have also been working with her to learn French and Kilee has enjoyed it. Despite the fact that James thought it would be too bright and hurt her eyes, Kilee was allowed to have a yellow and orange room, which she decorates with various other bright colors as well. Though not personally my taste, it definitely suits her. Kilee has continued to stay in touch with her siblings and parents; she speaks with them at least once every two weeks and has visited them a few times as well. With Kilee's flute, Hunter and Luis's guitars, Corey and Caleb's electric bass's, and everyone else singing, we've formed our own family band of sorts and it's a great activity that we all enjoy doing together.

Welcome Valentina, Agostina, and Santiago!
Congratulations!
Valentina is six years old and comes from La Serena, Chile. She has long black hair and dark brown eyes. Both of her parents are unknown to her. She has no brothers or sisters. She speaks Spanish and a little French. She has been raised Roman Catholic. Valentina loves to play with dolls and would love her very own Barbie doll. She is developmentally normal, but she is very shy and quiet. She loves to eat candy and cookies and then run around for hours! She says that when she grows up, she wants to be a teacher and also a model. She likes animals, but she is afraid of horses. She is looking forward to having new siblings!
Agostina is three years old and comes from Lima, Peru. She has dark brown hair and dark brown eyes. She is just learning to speak in full sentences after being slightly delayed from malnutrition and neglect in the first year of her life. Her parents were too impoverished to properly care for her. Agostina has three older brothers and would like to see pictures of them. With extra training in reading and speech, Agostina will catch up to normal standards quickly. She is a bright girl who is gregarious and sunny, although she is sometimes prone to tantrums around food. She can be a picky eater and will sometimes sneak or hide food. With time, these issues should go away without further relapses.
Santiago is an infant from Cucuta, Colombia. He has black hair and brown eyes. Nothing is known about him, as he is only a few months old.
Please keep us updated on the new additions to your family! Congratulations.
