1117- After the miscarriage of a baby, the family considered the birth of Rosalia a gift, hence her middle name Metrodora. The family business suffered a bit of a set back when Baldwin I of Jerusalem razed Pelusium to the ground, and they lost a few warehouses in that Egyptian city, costing them thousands of ducats in spices that were being shipped from the East. This set back led to downsizing. Antonio was forced to sell his vineyard and villa in Corfu and resettle in the Venetian quarter of Byzantium.
