[Opinions] Re: Gwenith vs Gwyneth
in reply to a message by Ismene
Not terribly differently, but differently- yes.
Gwenith is "GWEN-ith" with the vowel sounds like in "went" and "with"
Gwyneth is "GWIN-ith" with the vowel sounds in "win" and "with" (I guess the E comes out more like a schwa than an actual I sound)
I'm Canadian, if that makes a difference for the accent and the vowel sounds?
I prefer Gwyneth. I like the look of it much, much better. I also prefer the sound of it, but I'm not sure why (because I do like the Gwen-sound.)
It doesn't sound like you like Gwyneth though, haha, so what is there to decide between?

Hehe, I do like Gwyneth though! Like I said they'd likely get pronounced the same where I live so I guess I just hadn't given much thought to which I ACTUALLY prefer. I am beginning to lean toward Gwenith but I'm drawn to the comfort and ease of Gwyneth
