I know a very pretty Shirley, vey nice, very good at her job; she's probably in her late 30s, early 40s, though I'm hopeless at estimating age.
As a fn, I far prefer it to Ainsley and Casey (which don't happen as fns where I live, touch wood) and I don't see why it shouldn't make a comeback. I don't imagine anyone watches old Shirley Temple movies any more - that would be enough to put any thinking person off Life Itself - and there aren't any other obstacles in its path. Retro is good! Go for it.
