As a Russian name, Misha and Mishka are traditional. If that's the familial background, I'd stick with those. I like the sound of them. But in an area where only girls' names end in "a," it might seem odd. Then again, if you're in an area where Misha would sound weird, the correct pronunciation of Mikhail would probably be slaughtered, and I'd honestly advise against using that name for a child.
