It's so elegant this way. The -ella takes something away from that, makes it less refined.

I love both; depends on the surname.

Depends what you're pairing it with and how it flows. They're both nice. So is Brielle.

I've gone back and forth with these two. Stylistically, I'd go with Gabriella, however, there's something about Gabrielle that seems more relaxed and laid back. It's less fussy.

It always surprises me what a difference a letter or two can make in the feel of a name. If Gabrielle is silk, Gabriella is lace. Gabrielle is a svelte little black dress, Gabriella is a pink prom dress. Gabrielle is tiramisu, Gabriella is a cupcake with too much frosting. Gabrielle sounds like an adult to me. Gabriella is young, very young.

Overall, other than Nicola and Daniela, I prefer the -le ending over -la or -lla.

I prefer Grabrielle too, though I usually likes -a names over -e names. Gabrielle/Gabriella is one of the few exceptions.
Plus, I always think of Vanessa Hudgens when I hear the name Gabriella because of HSM... (Or at least when the name stands alone)

I really like Gabrielle. Gabriella has always sounded overly fussy and frilly to me. I tend to be more of a fan of -elle names than -ella names in general.
