The article claims that one wife of Esau was named Mahalath. I cannot confirm this bit of information and suspect that it was mistaken for Bashemath.

That "bit of information" is correct, according to my Bible.

"And Esau went to Ishmael and married, besides the wives that he had, Mahalath the daughter of Ishmael, Abraham's son, the sister of Nebaloth." Genesis 29:8
