[Opinions] Ebba
I'm thinking of getting a dog. She's the most adorable little thing and she's little over 3 months old and already has a name - Ebba.
What do you think of the name? Like it, dislike it?
And another question - do you think it's weird to give your dog a middle name? I guess I would just like choose a name for her too, but it would be weird to change her name after 3 months.

I like it!
I gave my cat a middle name and see nothing wrong with it. :)

I like Ebba, and I think it's exceptionally cute for a dog. If you aren't loving it, though, you can change it. Three months is still so young. My older dog was 6 months old when I adopted him, but I hated his name (Boner--I was not calling that out across a crowded dog park). I simply started calling him by his new name, reinforcing it with lots of treats, and he adapted by the end of the first day.
It's not strange to give your animals middle names, either. My dogs are River Ignatius and Lola Lu.

I love Ebba! And you can definitely give her a mn, it's not weird at all.
I really like it.
I also like Emma and Etta...so I have theme going haha. I don't think it's weird to give a dog a middle name. My cat's name is Whiskers Monique.

When I was ten I had a pure white long-haired cat named Toby Tubby Tobias Tyler Transportation Glamourpuss Mamie Micky Michaud. You can see I was already rapidly coasting toward unisex names, maybe because she was spayed?
What harm can possibly come from giving Ebba a mn? The only caution of which I'm aware is not to use up your favorite names on pets if you someday hope to have children.

I reminds me of ebbing, as in the ebbing of waves on the shore. It's alright, but I prefer the feeling and denotation of the similar-sounding Edda.
I don't think it's weird to give a dog a middle name. My mother gave ours one: Malone (I don't know where she pulled that one from; I don't like it much!)

Aw, sute! I like Ebba. There's a great character in a book with this name (although she is EBba Rose "Rose") and one of my high school teachers had a wife named Ebba.
All my cat's kittens got middle names :)

Aw. Puppy thread.
It's funny. I was just reading a biography of Queen Christina of Sweden and her close friend was named Ebba. It struck me while reading that the name Ebba would work well for a pet. :-)
As long as you don't expect the pet / dog to answer to the mn then why not have fun giving him / her one? Give her two or three mns if you like. The more the merrier. Again, as long as the animal is not confused with new sounds then I don't see any harm.
