The Queen is only 35, but it seems that there shall be no more children as it has been five years since Emilia was born and the Queen has not gotten with child since. Nonetheless King Gideon still shares a bedchamber with her, and they are very fond of each other. While Gideon is busy ruling the kingdom, Theodosia spends a lot of time reading and doing embroidery while being waited upon hand and foot. Emilia is busy all the time learning to read, write and being groomed in the art of ruling a country. Elias, Leander and Stellan are often busy learning how to sword fight or aim an arrow, in preparation for their future duties as Knights, perhaps of the Queensguard.

Currently the darlings of the Kingdom are Princess Maude and her husband Franco Alaric. Two years ago they welcomed a son, Orlando, and the public was delighted. Since Orlando's birth, they have also been busy, trying to do good deeds in the Kingdom, giving the couple a wonderful reputation and doing Gideon proud.

The gossip about the twins is not quite so flattering. When Princess Beatrix fell in love with a man from another Kingdom people were shocked. People saw her as selfish and rude, especially after Princess Lucia was to marry a nobleman, Lord Melchior, in order to secure alliances and the throne, considering some noblemen had quite fancied the idea of marrying their sons to Beatrix to get closer to the throne. Lucia didn't mind, though. Lord Melchior had a reputation for being a kind and honest man, despite being a merchant. The public have recently softened to Beatrix's marriage, however, especially as Beatrix and Quinton have recently welcomed a daughter, named Josephine.
