[Opinions] Dulcinea
Whats the concensus on the name Dulcinea (DUL-sih-nay-ah)? There is a song Dulcinea from the Man of La Mancha that has beautiful lyrics that makes me like it even more, plus Sofia Loren plays her in the movie...

I love it! I think it's gorgeous.
I like it, but I pronounce it dul-SIN-ee-a (or dul-sin-AY-a if I wanted to be more authentic). Definitely don't emphasize the first syllable. I've never actually read Don Quixote, but I like the literary link. I think it's a wonderfully thick syrupy name, and it's black and orange which is a different combination. It's so sugary and sweet, but it doesn't give me the impression of a person that way--it's more bold.

I have never been able to get into this name. The "Dulc-" part is okay, but the "-inea" part truly bothers me. The ending is not very appealing to me. I can appreciate its literary usage though, and I think the name or the nn Dulce is so soft and demure. It's definitely a guilty pleasure for me!
