[Opinions] Re: Chase
in reply to a message by Lily
The first thing that I think of when I see Chase is that it's a verb. It makes any combination more of a phrase: Chase Michael becomes, "Run, run! Chase Michael!" I have other names that I love that could fall into that category too, like Piers ("pierce") and Marius ("marry us"). But I have other associations that save them. Plus, they don't have the following down-side.The other aspect of Chase that I don't like is that it makes me think of the Chase Manhattan Bank (or JPMorgan Chase). Any name that so obviously reminds me of money I find tacky, sorry. Again, other positive references I have for Morgan save it from this fate. But I just haven't any for Chase so he's not my cup of tea. Sorry. :-/
