I prefer Remy and it's a name that's growing on me. I like the sort of self-assured swagger it has to it - I associate it with a young Dennis Quaid - did he play a Cajun character with this name?

Yes, he did! In the film "The Big Easy", he was Detective Lieutenant Remy McSwain. Yeah, here it would be usable only on a boy. Everyone would think I'm crazy if I used it on a girl. According to the stats though, one family was brave enough to use Remi on a girl last year. So, maybe they're the beginning of a new era!
