It's an alright name I guess, but very dated. But I'm Swedish, nobody else would probably know that. I do have a friend named Svea though, she's 20 and at first I had quite a shock when I found out her name. Svea is a name I don't expect anyone under 70 years old to have.
I don't think it's too out there and I guess it could work in another country. I would probably laugh if I heard a american prn Svea though, it isn't exactly as easy to prn as Astrid for example.
