I think some nicknames, like Frankie and Billie are adorable. I knew a grown-up Ricki (Erica) and I thought that was pretty cool.
That said, I've met 2 different little girls named Gabe (Gabriella) and a Theo (Theodora after a grandmother) and I can't say I'm down with those.
I don't know-- I guess I like nicknames that end with long E but not other ones?
