[Opinions] Conrad / Konrad
What are your opinions on Conrad / Konrad? Which spelling do you prefer? How does C/Konrad Lucas Trey H. sound? does it go with Killian Heath Ron ?I would use the nick name C/Kord.I am actually really a fan and it is definitely a front runner right now for a boys name.

I quite like it. I would spell it with a C because Konrad looks harsher and also a bit trendy (K seems quite a trendy letter)

I really am a Conrad fan and I'm really not a 'let's change the tradition C into a K' fan, it's one of my biggest pet peeves so definately Conrad all the way - Especially if the K is to make it the same letter as your son's name, that just annoys me even more lol sorry. As for the combo Conrad Lucas Trey is a very nice combo, it has some classic about it but also has a modern contemporary vibe about it :)Killian and Conrad do go togetherCord would work

The K in this case is most definitely not to be K like his brother but rather a K as in the german spelling. My husband's family are over the boat germans and his grandmother just past away last winter so it would be a K in honor of her maiden name. I am always in preference to C but in this case I am not choosing Conrad for the traditional english, its for the German spelling.

I like Conrad with a C, and I like it a lot. Handsome and restrained. If you decided on it, I think the C version might make life a little easier for you and the boys than the K version might. And I think your combo flows well.

I like it a lot, I prefer the C spelling. I sit next to one in my English class. He was really loud. He said: "I'M CONRAD." That was actually my first time hearing it used, even though it's my dad's middle name, and it... was kind of weird! My image of Conrad doesn't really jive with the Loud Southern Corporate Strategy Minor image, but it worked. I guess.I'm not feeling "Cord" from it, even though the letters are there. The O's and R's are really different from each other, at least in my accent (pretty neutral american). I think Con is pretty awesome, even though it's a negative word by itself... heck, if Robert gets Rob okay, I think Conrad should be able to work Con.I think it goes well with Killian. The combo is fine, goes well with the Killian combo too, a good eclectic mix that bounces together in a weird way, even though I have a hard time seeing Trey as a given name and not a nickname for a III.

I love Conrad! So strong and steely, with a dash of poetic sensibility for flavor.Conrad Lucas is nice, but I dislike Trey. Also, I get different vibes from Conrad and Killian, though I suppose Konrad is a better complement.

Never really liked it in the first place and then w/ all the scandal w/ Conrad Black, that's the first association I think of and it's not a good one.
Lucas doesn't thrill me, but it's acceptable.
Have always thought Trey to be rather tacky.
Sorry, but just really not feeling this one.

I have no clue who Conrad Black is so thats probably why I have no bad connection there.I have always loved Lucas but this is perhaps the only name that is in a highly changeable position.Trey is the constant name I will definitely be using Trey as the second middle name for the two reasons I replied to Humblebee I wont be redundant and write it twice but if you would like to obviously you can go read it.

I really like it, spelled Conrad, especially with a brother that starts with a K. Conrad Lucas Trey goes good with Killian Heath Ron.

I like Conrad, but not Konrad. Conrad is actually on my list, so I could see myself using it.Conrad Lucas Trey is nice and it goes well with Killian.I really dislike Cord though. It just doesn't seem like a name to me. How about Con? I like Conrad as a full name, so I personally wouldn't use a nickname.

Most people here do not like Cord but I havent heard a reason yet to turn me off. My mother had a problem with Killian for the Kill and it didnt redirect me so Cord being a piece of rope isnt enough to stop me from the nick name which is a genuine nick name and not a made up one. I personally hate Con, Connie, Rad, and Curt so non of the other nick names would work. I think Conrad is too strong to not have a nickname and I am very nick name orientated so not usuing one is just out of the question

I think Conrad is wonderful! I definitely prefer the C spelling, particularly since your other son already has a K name and you like Cord. Kord just looks wrong. Conrad Lucus Trey is handsome. I don't like Trey, but as a second middle name, it's okay. I think Conrad is fine with Killian, though it does sound a little more serious.

Trey is my constant name no matter what if its a boy the second middle name will be Trey for two reasons.
1. My first son's 2nd middle name is Ron after his father so Trey will be in honor of myself.
2. My son wants to name the baby three and Trey means three so he wins!I think Killian in the international context is much more serious than those who name it after the alcohol. Since my son is named so for the german heritage as well as the irish and is only K because while I much preferred the C the pronunciation in the US would have been a butcher's field day.

I actually forgot about the beer, so it wasn't the reason I find Conrad more serious sounding than Killian. I think it might be Killian's bouncing syllables; that "illi" in the middle is very high energy to me, so the whole name sounds jovial. I like your reasoning behind Trey, even though I don't like the name itself. I'm sure your son will like the connection to both you and his brother. :)

I love Conrad with a C only. The K doesn't look right. Conrad Lucas Trey is nice and seems fine with Killian Heath Ron. Honestly though I cannot stand the nickname Cord. To me it is like calling your kid rope or cable or something.

Love...I much perfer Conrad over Konrad, and I love the name. Meanings are also very important to me, and I would use it in a heartbeat...if it wasn't popular. (I try to stay away from anything in the top 1000.)I don't like Cord though, or double mn. But Conrad Lucas Trey H. doesn't sound half bad. I don't like combos with the same number of syllables, but Trey helps un-balance it, as I would say. It certainly doesn't clash with Killian, and therefore it works for me.

I certainly would not call Conrad popular it is in the 700's and therefore okay in my book and right around where Killian is and I have never met another Killian todate!I stay away from the top 300 its very hard to avoid the top 1000 all together.I started with double mn so I have to continue to me it simply would not be fair.

No, it's not easy to stay completely off the top 1000, but especially for boys I love so many names it helps narrow it down a little. My brother and I were just one of many in school, and with the various spellings and endings, I was always competing for nicknames in classes. I had one class in junior high with 28 kids total and there was a Krista, Kristen "Kris", Kristina "Kristi", Kristina Rock (everyone always called her by her fn and ln) and then myself, and I just let the teacher call me by my surname since he had my older brother and that's what teacher called him (due to the same problem).I may over-think the popularity at times, and sometimes I question if I could use a name from (whatever number)-1000 and still not have to put my kid through that.
