Though frightened at the aspect of becoming a mother so young, Susanna knew that she should produce an heir as quickly as possible. Only months after her marriage to Bran, she found herself pregnant. Everyone was relieved, especially as Susanna seemed in perfect health the entire time. It was a relatively easy pregnancy, so everyone told Susanna. She was very thankful for this, as she was still learning to manage the kingdom suddenly thrust upon her young shoulders. There has been no whisper of any more trouble, though Bran and Susanna both are constantly guarded. As a royal Susanna is somewhat used to it, but it has been hard on Bran. As king, even a non-ruling one, he is still seen as a potential target, and he has been slow to grow accustomed to the constant guarding. But he was excited about his wife's pregnancy, hsi enthusiasm dispelling her fears somewhat. She became just as excited as he was once she began to feel the baby move. No one really cared what the baby was so long as it was healthy, least of all Susanna and Bran. So there was nothing but celebration when a little prince was born after a relatively easy delivery. Susanna and Bran fell in love with him at once. He has Susanna's curly red hair and right now her blue eyes, but the rest of him is just like Bran. They named him Quinton Edmond Peregrine Basil Simon. All names but Quinton (which was just Bran's favorite name) are from a list that Susanna's mother gave them that were possible names for Susanna if she had been a boy.
Though Quinn (as he is known by all his fond realtives) is a wonderful baby, Susanna wants to wait to have more. She is still getting her feet on the ground being the ruler of a kingdom and a mother, and she doesn't want another child right away. Bran is fine with this, and so are the Royal Advisors for the most part. After all, Queen Susanna is very young and very healthy and is almost certain to have more children. One heir is fine with everyone for now.
