I saw the name Minta and aren't sure if it's pronounced:

meen-ta
mine-ta
men-ta

Anyone know? Or how would you say it if you saw it?

I thought of a mint and then add -uh- to it. That's what it looks like. I wouldn't ever ever ever use it.

I would say MIN-ta (same in sound as in win), and that is how I've always pronounced Araminta, but it could be different in English, that's just how I've said it.

Since I've only seen it as a short form of Araminta, I would say MIHN-tuh, like "mint" with an "uh" on the end.

I like it, and also Mintie/Minty--but only if she's got a full name behind the nickname.

That's what I was thinking, I just wasn't sure since I've never seen the name before. I wasn't sure at first but now I think Minta's kind of a cute name (if it's pronounced the way you described)
