Lena is an aspiring artist and was thrilled when she was accepted to a prestigious art school in Paris after high school. It was in Paris that she met Jean-Philippe who happened to be the tutor for her photography class. He was handsome, mature, cultured and Lena fell for the older man almost instantly. Luckily for her, Jean-Philippe was equally enamored with the bubbly blonde American girl, enough that he renounced his long standing bachelor ways to be with her.
Their relationship was conducted in secret for a long time as he was her teacher, but when Lena graduated 3 years later they went public finally. At first Lena's family was appalled that she was in a relationship with a man 13 years her senior but once Jean-Philippe travelled to Los Angeles with Lena to met them they came to genuinely like him and realise that the age gap wasn't the big deal they had made it out to be.
Jean-Philippe and Lena choose to reside in Paris where Jean-Philippe still teaches at the art school, and Lena is a free-lance photographer. Jean-Philippe proposed to her at Eiffel Tower on their anniversary and they married in a simple but elegant ceremony attended by only 20 of their closest friends and family only 2 months later.
