Rosa and Thaddeus had always known that Lily had a passionate nature--it was what fueled the songs and stories she was becoming famous for--but they had never expected that it would lead to such a whirlwind romance. Beautiful Lily, known affectionately by the people as The Queen's Lily Flower, had always been popular with boys and men, but her parents had seen that she never gave any more attention than politeness dictated. Then she announced to them one day that she was engaged to young Lord Christopher of Saliri, one of Tayel's most important cities. The two had met tolerably often since both had become teenagers and had always been fond of one another. But no one suspected that fondness had turned into passion had turned into love. But when Lily announced that she had proposed and Lord Christopher, Chris as she called him, had accepted, they could all see how fully the two loved one another. So Rosa and Thaddeus arranged the marriage--quickly, as requested by the young couple. It was a lavish ceremony, and everyone was talking about how beautiful Lily looked. Chris was named a prince, as the other in-laws had, and the two took up residence in the palace after a wedding tour down the seaside.
Romance seemed to be in the air at the wedding, as everyone noticed Gwen flirting with a young lord named Callum, a cousin of Chris's. Remus was also seen to slip away for a while with the young Lady Susanna, one of Mira's ladies-in-waiting he had been smitten with for some time. No one suspected how far that slip away went until a month later, when Remus came to his parents and said that Susanna was pregnant. The passion and the wine had gotten to them, and they had gone too far the night of Lily's wedding. Rosa and Thaddeus were astounded but tried to be understanding, and brought the young lady in to discuss what was to be done. The two obviously cared deeply for one another, so it was decided that the best thing was to marry them as quickly as possible to avoid the scandal. So another royal wedding was planned, with enough lavishness so no one would suspect that the two had to marry. The wedding was topped off with Delia's announcement that she was expecting again.
Months went by, and only two days apart Susanna gave birth to a beautiful daughter (luckily born two weeks late, easier to claim the baby was born early) and Delia gave birth to another beautiful son only a year and a half after Jem's birth. Remus and Susanna had chosen the name Theodora, to remind their daughter that though she was not planned, she was still a gift and they loved her. Her middle names honor Gwen, the couple's constant supporter and still Remus's best friend, and Remus's mother. Nate, born two days after Theo, was named a favorite name of Delia's, and his middle names honor Gabe, Delia's father Hector, and Remus, who will be his godfather. Gabe and Delia decided this as a good faith gesture, as Remus had been feeling very guilty about what he might have caused his family, though he is thrilled to be with Susanna.
Only days after the births, Gwen announcedto all that Lord Callum had proposed to her! The two had decided to extend their engagement to allow the family to recover from the hectic year.
