Background Hi, my name is Lucia. My husband, John, and I both grew up and met in the U.S. before we moved to Japan. We were married last April in a lovely outdoor reception in our home state of Michigan. We haven't been to America since.
Year 1
We started our family right away. On February 6, our beautiful daughter Flora Isabel was born. She has straight brown hair, and John's green eyes. She is a wonderful addition to our family!

Year 2
This year we decided to adopt. We were expecting a baby or toddler, but we got a call about a 17-year old boy. We knew we couldn't leave him, so Hikaru Itsuki from Japan, where we live, was welcomed into our family. He's very handsome with brown eyes and dark brown hair. He's a great at guitar. He loves Flora and she loves him back.

Year 3
We decided to adopt again! This time a three year old boy from eastern Africa was welcomed into our family. He has dark skin, brown eyes and black hair. He was called Kato, for he had a twin brother born before him, but he did not survive past the age of one. We renamed him Benjamin Kato. He loves playing with Flora and he wants to do everything Hikaru does. His absolute favorite food is apples.

Year 4
This year we added another - make that two - members to our family! Julia Alice and Louisa Audrey are identical twins born on December 25, Christmas! They are the best Christmas presents ever! They have John's curly blonde hair and my amber eyes. Flora is excited to have sisters in the house!

Year 4
This year, the unthinkable happened. Hikaru was driving to his girlfriend's house (a wonderful, wonderful girl) and got hit when a drunk driver sped throught a red light. He was rushed to the hospital, but didn't survive the night. It has been a sad, sad year for all of us, but especially Ben, who wanted to be just like Hikaru and was very close to his brother. Ben has to take counsling, along with John and I. I cannot believe my precious son is not with us on earth any longer.

We welcomed a new little bundle of joy into our family! Naomi Cecelia, born of November 1st, has bright red, wavy hair and blue eyes. She's a very lively baby, and always happy (almost, at least)! The twins are delighted to have a little sister, but Ben is not as happy with the gender as they are.

Year 8
This year, we were in for a big suprise! We didn't have just one baby, or two, or three, we had five! Five little angels. I gave birth to four healthy girls and one healthy boy. Now Ben can finally have a brother to play with! Thomas Andrew, the first born, was followed by his sisters, Amelia Elise, Lucy Irene, Vivian Rose and Eliza Linnae. Mia and Vivian look a lot alike, as they both have blonde, curly hair, but Mia has green eyes, making her look exactly like John and Vivian has hazel. Lucy has my auburn hair, but it's curly and she has grey eyes. Thomas has curly brown hair and amber eyes, and Eliza has wavy blonde hair and blue eyes. They are all little angels. Vivian's the most curious, Thomas is the happiest, Lucy is the livliest, Mia's the sweetest and Eliza, well she crys the most. :). They are all perfect little angels.
