Year 1:
For their honeymoon, Alasdair and Cora visited Sweden. They really enjoyed their time there.
Year 2:
Cora's sister and brother-in-law live in the Netherlands, so she and Alasdair took a week off to visit them.
Year 3:
Alasdair and Cora were thrilled to have their first child, a girl. Gemma Lucy has curly brown hair and grey eyes.
Year 4:
Alasdair's brother and sister-in-law, Finley and Maria McBride, had fraternal twin girls, Willow Brielle (curly brown hair, brown eyes) and Alana Harper (wavy red hair, green eyes). Alasdair and Cora are thrilled that Gemma has two cousins so close to her own age.
Year 5:
Alasdair and Cora decided to adopt a three-year-old girl from France. Amélie Claudette has blue eyes and curly blonde hair. Her parents died in a car crash before her first birthday, and her grandmother is now unable to care for her.
Year 6:
Once Amélie opened up to her new family, she told them that she had a cousin who was also in her grandmother's care. When Alasdair and Cora learned that Amélie's grandmother had passed away, they adopted her cousin immediately. Six-year-old Fleur Isabelle has straight blonde hair and grey eyes.
Year 7:
The McBrides took a road trip around the U.K. to show Fleur and Amélie more of their new home country.
Year 8:
Alasdair and Cora were made godparents to Isla Ruby Fraser, the newborn daughter of Cora's life-long friends Oliver and Katherine Fraser.
Year 9:
Fleur had been interested in learning how to ride horses, so Alasdair and Cora bought her one for her ninth birthday. Fleur named the horse Maximus, but she mostly calls him 'Max'.
Year 10:
The McBrides welcomed their fourth child, another girl. Nora Vivienne has curly red hair and grey eyes. Fleur, Amélie, and Gemma were thrilled to have another sister.
Year 11:
The McBrides adopted a salamander, which Gemma named Sparky.
Year 12:
Since Alasdair and Cora had adopted two wonderful girls from France, they decided to adopt another child from Fleur and Amélie's home country. They were placed with a boy this time, two-year-old Julien Adam. He has straight red hair and green eyes. Everyone was very happy to welcome him into the family.
Year 13:
Finley and Maria welcomed a daughter, Nessa Greer. The McBride children were happy to have another cousin.
Year 14:
Cora gave birth this year to the McBrides's sixth child and fifth girl, Luna Bryony. She has wavy black hair and green eyes.
Year 15:
Just a little over a year after Luna's birth, identical twin boys were born to the McBrides. Percy Adrian and Edmund Victor have curly brown hair and brown eyes.
Year 16:
Julien won a goldfish at a local fair, which he named Rex.
Year 17:
Cora was assigned to do a story on Japan for her paper, so the whole family came along with her. They had a wonderful time.
Year 18:
The McBrides's ninth child was born this year. Theodore Xavier has straight black hair and blue eyes.
Year 19:
The McBrides packed up their family and moved to a new house (though it's still in the same town as their old one) to fit their growing family.
Year 20:
Alasdair and Cora decided to adopt another daughter from France. Eight-year-old Estelle Jacqueline has straight red hair and grey eyes.
