What do you think of Hebe? Combo ideas? I found this name in a rather unusual way. I was reading the Harry Potter wiki and happened across the entry for Ariana Dumbledore and the actress that plays her in HP7.2 is named Hebe. I don't think it's short for anything, which is cool because I think Hebe is gorgeous in its shortness. It's Greek and pronounced HEE-bee. Can you get past the "heebee jeebies" thing?

I'm neutral on Hebe. I don't dislike it, but I don't particularly like it either. I don't think of the "heebee jeebies"; I think of H.M.S. Pinafore.

Oh, Hebe is one of my favourites. It's like a more-refreshing Phoebe. I don't even care about the "heebie jeebie" connection - in fact that only makes it more charming for me. I'd use Hebe in a second. It makes me think of peaches, a pale tangerine colour, and sunlight. It's very British-sounding for me, as well - I think of a very proper young lady in a delicate, blush-coloured Victorian dress, sitting in a garden and reading poetry.

I love the name Hebe. I can't decide how usable it is, though.

I love it too. I think anyone who's familiar with Greek mythology would be able to get past it. Everyone else would probably just think it was another creative name or something.

When I first saw the name, I thought it was short for something and felt it was incomplete to stand on its own. However once I started researching and found out the story behind it, I became more delighted with it. So cute! Funny how a backstory can quickly shift my opinion of a name. :)

I'm not sure how I feel about it to be honest. I met a little girl called Heba once (he-buh) and kind of liked that. She was adorable. So i guess it isn't that different. I don't have an instant dislike to it anyway :)
