My friend from high school was named Vanessa Ainsley Rose. I always thought it was a pretty name.

I've always had a bad connotation to go with Vanessa as being a rather uppity rich girl but if you like it thats great and it doesn't seem to be common, I haven't ever even heard of anyone with this name that I can think of at the moment.

I like Vanessa Caroline. Catherine is getting so overused lately. Vanessa is a great underused name.

I really like the name Vanessa. I have only met one in my life as well. Don't know how popular it is for baby girls now though.
