Year 1- Random
Mike and I are currently living in Vancouver, Canada while I work on a team to help rescue and relocate wildlife that are caught in the wild fire that is currently raging in the nearby forests. Firefighters are doing their best to put an end to it, but in the meantime it is up to the team of conservation environmentalists to help the save the wildlife. Vancouver is a beautiful city and it's so nice that Mike works from home doing web design so he can travel with me. I've been very busy with work, but I have been able to enjoy the city a bit. We're not sure how long we will be staying. We've rented an apartment and are prepared to stay as long as we need to. I've also been busy working on raising money and getting volunteers to help out while we are here. It's wonderful to see so many people join the cause and help out!
Year 2- Move
After a year long stay in Vancouver, Canada, Mike and I are moving to Brazil. We are both very excited to live in such an interesting and beautiful place! I've been given the opportunity to work with a research team studying different endangered bird species while in Brazil. We found a nice condo in Rio de Janeiro that is close to the beach. I can't wait to relax on the beach, but I am mostly excited about working with such an awesome research team and learning about the amazing birds in Brazil so we can better protect them!
Year 3- Birth
Mike and I are currently laying in bed staring at our beautiful new daughter. We weren't planning on starting a family yet, but we were both very happy when I found out that I was pregnant. My pregnancy went very well and I enjoyed every minute of it! I had some morning sickness, but as soon as that went away it was wonderful. All of the friends we've made over the past year were so excited for us and some of the girls on the team I work with threw me a baby shower.

We decided to adopt a beautiful little girl from Vietnam. Her name is Isobel Kim. She is 5 years old and has brown eyes and straight black hair.

This year something suprising has happened. Some unknown relative of DH died and together with a large amount of money we also inherited a cannabis plantage from him. Oh dear...
Year 3:
We really needed a vacation so we decided to spend inheritance money on family trip around the world. In the end we decided that we won't be bothering with going all around the world, instead of this we stayed in Japan because we liked it so much.
Year 4:
DH and I presented our daughter with a trip to a theme park as her birthday gift. She loved it!
Year 5:
I got sick of my job and because money is not a problem (inheritance money + cannabis business going so well) I decided to quit.

We have moved to a Kangaroo Island. Now we are surrounded with kangaroos, koalas and other stuff.

They have their first biological child – a girl! She has straight blonde hair and green eyes, and they name her Louisa Yvette. Ben is besotted with his new little sister.

Unfortunately due to reduced funding at the hospital he works at, Zac has been getting less hours than usual. This turns out to be not such a bad thing, as they still can afford to live quite comfortably and Zac gets to see his children more often.

We were married last year, and the birth of our baby girl this year marked the start of many new adventures. Lucia Honor Winchester, pronounced loo-SEE-ah, has a mass of curly black hair and brown eyes. She looks just like her mama.

We fully intended to adopt someone closer to Lucia’s age, but Ellie really fell in love with Miata Sia and Kollie Saa. The twins’ first names honor their mother’s tribe, and their middle names honor their father’s tribe. Sadly, their father abandoned them when they were ten, and their mother died when they were eleven because of insufficient medical care. Both children have very dark skin, black eyes, and coarse black hair.

We fully intended to adopt someone closer to Lucia’s age, but Ellie really fell in love with Miata Sia and Kollie Saa. The twins’ first names honor their mother’s tribe, and their middle names honor their father’s tribe. Sadly, their father abandoned them when they were ten, and their mother died when they were eleven because of insufficient medical care. Both children have very dark skin, black eyes, and coarse black hair.

Stephanie and I have been married for 3 months now. :) Our wedding was beautiful, with all of our friends and family there. We had an evening ceremony at a gorgeous garden an hour outside of Sydney. There were string lights, lanterns, and candles everywhere and a small orchestra playing. We both wore handmade gowns that we had to preorder 18 months in advance! But they were beautiful and Stephanie looked gorgeous! It has been 3 months already, but our apartment is still packed with wedding gifts that we haven't found a place for yet! After our honeymoon in Bali, I gave Steph a wedding present from me. :) An adorable little Chinchilla that we named Ozzie. She has wanted a Chinchilla since she was little and was so surprised and excited when I showed him to her! We have both started back at work again, which was hard after spending two amazing weeks in Bali. I do love my job at the hospital though and missed my coworkers. I work on the pediatric floor, which can be hard at times but also very rewarding. Stephanie is a chef at her friend's French style cafe. She is an amazing cook and I think she would love for us to move to France someday!

Kelsi and I just welcomed our beautiful new baby girl into our lives. After we were married last year we both knew we wanted to start a family. We both love children and hope to have a big family. We looked into several different options, but in the end decided to use my egg and a sperm donor and Kelsi would carry our baby. Her pregnancy was such a special time for us and all of our friends and family are so happy for us.
